Jalandhar Golaknath Church Case: police registered case two con-mans

Jalandhar: The city police has registered an FIR after investigation in Golak Nath Church sale case. A fraudster in Jalandhar, Punjab was sold the 135-year-old Golaknath Church. Jalandhar: The city police has registered an FIR after investigation in Golak Nath Church sale case. A fraudster in Jalandhar, Punjab was sold the 135-year-old Golaknath Church. Two people have been named in the FIR. Jordan Masih, a resident of New Calvary Church, Mission Compound, Ludhiana, and Mary Wilson, a resident of Ambedkar Nagar, Ludhiana, have been booked under Sections 420 and 120-B of the IPC.

At present, the arrest of the accused is pending. The FIR reveals that the accused sold the church for just Rs 5 crore. In this fraud  case FIR has been registered at Navi Baradari police station. Soon the police will issue notices to the accused in the case and include them in the investigation, if they do not cooperate, they will be arrested.
When the devotees came to know about this, they reached the church late on Friday night and started demanding action in the matter. A complaint was lodged in the Commissionerate Police in this regard and action was demanded in the matter. Considering it a religious issue, the police registered an FIR with immediate effect.

Con-man Jordan Masih had to sell the said church for Rs 5 crore. The advance payment for the same had already been made. He had struck a deal for the 135-year-old Golaknath Church in Mission Compound, Jalandhar. The registry of the church land was to be done after 2 days. But before that, the officials of the United Church of North India Trust came to know about this fraud.

Trust Secretary Amit K. Prakash said- Last Tuesday, he came to know that the historic Golaknath Church was going to be registered in two days. He received a copy of the statement of Rs 5 crore taken for more than 24 kanals of the church land. After which he immediately met the officials. Then the registry was stopped by DC Himanshu Agarwal.
