Meanwhile, aid is rapidly arriving from various countries; more than two dozen rescue teams from different parts of the world have either reached Venezuela or are on their way. The President of the Venezuelan parliament stated that saving every single person would be nothing short of a miracle and assured that the government would not conceal anything.

In the northern regions of Venezuela, people are searching for family members amidst the wreckage following the earthquakes. Scenes of devastation are visible everywhere. A woman named Nazareth Jimenez was seen weeping on a relative’s shoulder, while people nearby attempted to remove large chunks of broken concrete using hammers and machinery. Many buildings have completely collapsed, reduced to piles of rubble.

This tragedy occurred in La Guaira, near the capital, Caracas, which has suffered the most extensive damage. People are waiting for their siblings, children, and relatives to be pulled out alive. They are pleading with the government for assistance and demanding heavy machinery to help clear the debris. They state that people might still be alive beneath the rubble. The government is providing food and water to those affected. Acting President Delcy Rodríguez stated that the government is carrying out relief operations with full force and is seeking assistance from around the world.

However, residents say that the relief provided is very limited and insufficient to meet the actual needs. There is also talk of deploying the army across the area. The country is already grappling with an economic crisis, which has further complicated relief efforts. Many people are also questioning the government’s situation and its role.
