Fuel supply in Kashmir stable for 2 weeks: Divisional Commissioner

Srinagar: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, stated on Monday that the supply of domestic LPG, petrol, and diesel in the Valley is completely stable, with sufficient stocks for approximately two weeks. He said the administration is continuously monitoring the situation to ensure that people do not face any problems.

Garg stated that fuel stocks currently normally last for 10 to 15 days, and in the last two days, they have remained at approximately 14 days. He said the central and Jammu and Kashmir administrations are working together to maintain a smooth supply system.

Strict monitoring of hoarding and black marketing
He stated that oil marketing companies are being monitored through district-level committees to ensure supply disruptions. The availability of petrol, diesel, and LPG is being monitored at the district and divisional levels.

Control rooms are active to address complaints, including those related to black marketing, hoarding, and overcharging. He appealed to the public to ignore rumors and rely only on official information.

Problem Resolution and Helplines Active
Regarding problems with LPG delivery despite OTP, he said such issues are being addressed and resolved at various levels.

He stated that teams from the Food and Civil Supplies Department and the Deputy Commissioner are preparing daily reports, which are being monitored by the government.

Regarding the students from Jammu and Kashmir stranded in Iran, he said the central and state governments are making efforts to bring them back safely. Helplines have been established, and constant contact is being maintained with their families.
