He also recorded a video before ingesting poison, which has now gone viral on social media. Reacting to this incident, Shiromani Akali Dal leader Vikram Singh Majithia also posted on social media, stating that the DM had specifically named Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar.

He alleged that he was forced to admit accepting a 10 lakh bribe. He also alleged physical and mental harrassment by the Minister.

Following the revelation of this incident, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has accepted the minister’s resignation. Additionally, he has ordered the Chief Secretary, KAP Sinha, to conduct an inquiry into the matter.

It is reported that Gagandeep Singh Randhawa was serving in both Amritsar and Tarn Taran districts. He died by suicide after consuming Sulphas.Following the incident, he was admitted to a private hospital, but later he was declared dead.
