Gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria approaches High Court, expresses apprehension of encounter

Punjab Police is currently preparing to bring dangerous gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria to Punjab on a production warrant, while on the other hand, the gangster has approached the High Court. Jaggu, who is lodged in Assam’s Silchar jail, has filed a petition in the High Court expressing his apprehension of an encounter in Punjab.

The High Court has sought a response from the Punjab government

Meanwhile, now the Punjab and Haryana High Court has now sought a response from the Punjab government on this petition and has fixed the next hearing of the case for November 14 and has ordered the filing of a status report.

What did the gangster say in the petition?

The gangster has said in the petition that for some time now, gang wars have been going on between his opponents in Amritsar, Batala, Gurdaspur and Tarn Taran, including other places in Punjab. Meanwhile, he also suspects that he, too, may meet with an encounter or may be killed by his opponents during police custody.

According to information, Bhagwanpuria, through a petition filed for his own safety, also demanded that he be monitored 24 hours a day through CCTV while in the custody of Batala police.

It is worth mentioning that Jaggu Bhagwanpuria’s mother and her brother were murdered in broad daylight in Batala earlier.
