In a joint operation Bathinda Counter Intelligence and District Police have arrested 3 shooters of Lawrence and gangster Goldy Brar gang.
The accused have been identified as shooter Karandeep Singh resident Navi Basti Maud Mandi, Raghvir Singh resident Kot Shamir Police Station Sadar, Kulwinder Singh resident Kot Shamir District Bathinda.
Police officials said that, a Verna car along with 03 pistols, 06 live cartridges and 06 magazines have been recovered from the accused. DGp Punjab Police Gaurav Yadav also share the information on his sociala media account and reveal that, they were planning to execute target killings in Bathinda and Mohali.
Police have registered a case against the accused. The accused will be produced in court soon. Revelations are expected in the interrogation of the accused.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that these weapons were to be used to carry out several targeted killings and other incidents in the district. Further investigation is underway by the police in Bathinda and its surrounding areas. About three cases are already registered against them.
DGP said that, Punjab Police will take stern action against all involved in organised crime & illegal weapon smuggling networks as per the directions of CM Bhagwant Mann.
