Chandigarh: Punjab police State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) has busted an interstate weapons smuggling racket. DGP Punjab police Gaurav Yadav said that, In a major blow to illegal arms smuggling, the State Special Operation Cell (SSOC), SAS Nagar, Punjab, has apprehended one person for running an inter-state organized arms smuggling racket.
He said that the accused was providing logistical assistance to various gangs, and he was supplying illegal arms in Punjab from Madhya Pradesh. SSOC Mohali is working to uncover the entire network, following both forward and backward linkages. DGP reveal that the SSOC Mohali unit recovered 4 illegal .32 bore pistols.
DGP Gaurav Yadav said that Punjab Police is working tirelessly to eradicate organized crime as per directions of Punjab CM Bahgwant Mann.
