Gas Shortage in Haryana: Queues for cylinders forming since dawn

The shortage of domestic gas cylinders in the district is escalating. The situation has become so dire that cylinders must now be distributed under police protection. Despite queuing in the early hours of the morning, people are still unable to secure a cylinder. Growing resentment is evident among consumers due to the unavailability of gas.

Hundreds of people gathered at the Paras Gas Agency, located at the city’s HUDA Ground, to collect cylinders; however, due to a limited supply, most were forced to return empty-handed. Long queues began forming early in the morning, and before long, the crowd started becoming unruly.

Women, the elderly, and young children were seen standing in the queues. Several consumers stated that they have been making repeated rounds for the past week, yet each time they have had to return empty-handed. These individuals are leaving their homes as early as 5:00 AM to collect cylinders, but there appears to be little hope of actually securing one.

80 Commercial Cylinders Arrive
A consignment of 80 commercial gas cylinders has arrived in the city. The administration had been receiving continuous requests for supplies to cater to wedding ceremonies. These cylinders will be allocated to 14 families currently hosting wedding functions
