Gauahar Khan Admits She Had Lost Faith in Men Until She Met Zaid Darbar

Mumbai: Gauahar Khan and husband Zaid Darbar opened up about their relationship journey during their appearance on the celebrity talk show Rashami Ke Dil Se Dil Tak. In a candid conversation with host Rashami Desai, Gauahar revealed that she had completely given up on men before she met Zaid.

When asked if she had a specific type in mind for marriage, the Bigg Boss 7 winner admitted, “Not at all. In fact, when I met Zaid, I was completely averse to men. I felt they were all commitment-phobic and always running away. I was ready to be vulnerable, but most men weren’t.”

Gauahar said she eventually surrendered to fate, praying that if a good man was meant for her, he would find his way into her life. “Believe it or not, a month later we bumped into each other — and he messaged me first,” she recalled.

Zaid shared that he was in a similar mindset at the time. He had already decided he was done with dating and would only consider marriage moving forward. “About a month before we met, I had made up my mind that I didn’t want to date anyone. I felt it was impossible for me to get into dating again. I thought the next step would be marriage — calmly and when the time was right.”

Their shared disinterest in dating, both said, ultimately led them to each other at exactly the right moment.
