Gaza War: At Least 4 Palestinians Killed, 12 Injured in Israeli Strikes Across Gaza

Gaza Strip: At least four Palestinians were killed and 12 others injured in a series of Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip since dawn on Sunday, according to local medical sources cited by Al Jazeera.

An ambulance and emergency services official said at least one Palestinian was shot dead by Israeli forces in the Tawam area north of Gaza City.

In southern Gaza, Nasser Hospital confirmed that another Palestinian died from bullet injuries sustained earlier in the day following Israeli gunfire in central Khan Younis.

Drone Strikes Reported in Gaza

In separate incidents, a drone strike targeted a vehicle in western Gaza City, killing at least one person.

Another person was reportedly killed after a drone struck a makeshift tent in the al-Mawasi area of southern Gaza, according to the report.

The latest incidents come amid continuing Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip.

Hamas Finance Chief Killed in Khan Younis

Earlier, on September 23, Israeli forces killed Muhammad Abu Alwan, identified by Israeli authorities as the head of Hamas’ finance department, during a targeted operation in Khan Younis.

In a joint statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Israel Katz said the operation was carried out jointly by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Israel Security Agency (ISA).

The statement said Abu Alwan was targeted in Khan Younis and described him as the head of Hamas’ finance department.

Israeli leadership said operations targeting Hamas commanders, operatives, financial networks and infrastructure would continue. Netanyahu and Katz said Israel would continue its operations until Hamas no longer exists in Gaza.

The killing of Abu Alwan was described by Israeli authorities as the latest strike targeting Hamas’ financial infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.

The latest casualties were reported as Israeli military operations and strikes continued across parts of Gaza.
