Because the water level of Ghaggar river has crossed 70,000 cusecs. On the other hand, due to late night rain, many areas of Phase-11 have been waterlogged. People’s houses are flooded. People are managing their situation with great difficulty.

The alert issued by the Mohali district administration states that the water level of Ghaggar river has crossed 70,000 cusecs at 8:00 am. Due to increased rainfall in the catchment area of ​​Ghaggar river and opening of Sukhna gates, residents of villages situated along the Derabassi sub-division are advised to remain alert.

Due to rain since late night and rising water level, water started flowing on the bridge near Zirakpur Baltana police post. Due to this, the administration has closed the traffic on the bridge since Friday morning. Also, cleaning and repair work is going on with JCB machine. Due to the closure of the road, drivers are facing problems and they have to go through an alternative route.
