Ghaziabad Encounter: Niece’s Rape-Murder Accused Killed, Family Rejects Body

Ghaziabad: Jasim alias Chhotu, accused of raping and murdering his 4-year-old niece, was killed in an encounter by police on the night of April 19th. According to police, a reward of 50,000 rupees was announced on the accused and he had been absconding for a long time.

Officials said that after receiving information, police laid siege to the Tila Mod area. When asked to surrender, the accused and his associates opened fire, prompting police action. Jasim was injured by the bullets and was declared dead at the hospital.

Family Refused to Claim the Body

After the incident, the accused’s family went to the postmortem house, but they flatly refused to accept the body. Family members stated that they have no connection to the person who committed such a crime and do not even want to see his face.

The family justified the police action, saying that the accused has been punished for his crime.

According to information, on April 11, Jasim raped and murdered his sister’s 4-year-old daughter. He then threw her body under a car. The victim’s family is from Pilkhua in Hapur, while the accused was from Sisauli village in Muzaffarnagar.

Following this heinous incident, the police launched a swift investigation and began searching for the accused.

Policeman also injured in encounter

During the encounter, the accused and his associates fired several rounds. Two policemen were injured, while a bullet struck a constable’s bulletproof jacket.

Police reported that two of the accused’s associates fled the scene and are currently searching for them. Further action is being taken based on the investigation.
