Governor Prof. Asim Kumar Ghosh visited Julana on Sunday and met with the family of the deceased ASI Sandeep Lathar, a resident of Ward No. 4, to offer condolences. He assured the family of a fair and high-level investigation and announced financial assistance of ₹2.5 lakh for the education of Sandeep’s children.
The Governor spoke with the family for approximately 40 minutes and stated that the loss of an honest, dedicated, and hardworking officer is a loss for the entire state. Officers like Sandeep epitomize the state’s spirit of service.
Before the Governor’s arrival, the police administration had implemented tight security in the town. Police were deployed throughout Julana. His wife, Mitra Ghosh, ADC Vivek Arya, ASP Sonakshi Singh, Yogesh Bairagi, and Anand Lathar were present with the Governor. ADC Vivek Arya stated that the Governor expressed condolences to the family and assured a transparent investigation to ensure justice for the victim.
Cooperation Minister Arvind Sharma also visited the family of the deceased ASI Sandeep Lathar. He stated that this was a deeply tragic incident for the entire state and that the government stood fully with the victim’s family. He assured them that all possible assistance would be provided.
