    Grand unveiling of 131-foot-tall Balaji statue on Giriraj Mountain on Ram Navami

    Rajsamand: A grand 131-foot-tall Balaji statue will be unveiled on Giriraj Mountain in Nathdwara, Rajasthan’s Rajsamand district, on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami. This historic event is expected to give a new dimension to religious tourism in the region. Devotees will also be able to see the world’s largest Shiva statue, “Viswas Swarupam,” along with the Balaji statue.

    Grand Ceremony and Religious Event

    The statue will be unveiled on March 26th at 9 a.m. with Vedic chanting. The event will be held in the presence of Tilakayat Rakesh Maharaj and Yuvacharya Vishal Baba of the Shrinathji Temple, the main seat of the Vallabha sect.

    Puja, havan, and other religious rituals will begin in the morning. Following the unveiling, bhajans, kirtans, and discourses will also be organized, which are expected to be attended by a large number of saints and devotees.

    Faith and tourism will gain a new dimension

    This 131-foot Balaji statue, erected at the height of Giriraj mountain, will be visible from far and wide. This statue will not only become a major center of faith but will also give a new direction to religious tourism in the Nathdwara region.

    Grand statue completed in three years

    This massive statue was constructed by renowned sculptor Naresh Kumawat over a period of approximately three years. 115 tons of steel, 40 tons of fiberglass, and high-quality M30 grade material were used in its construction, ensuring its strength and longevity.

    Naresh Kumawat has previously created over 500 large statues in India and abroad, including the ‘Vishwas Swarupam’ Shiva statue.

    Special preparations by the administration

    The administration has made elaborate security, traffic, and crowd control arrangements for the event. Parking, drinking water, and medical facilities will also be provided for the devotees to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
