Gun Point Heist: Armed robbery at Money transfer shop, robbers flee with 600 euros

A major robbery has occurred at a money transfer shop in Jalandhar’s Maqsudan area. Two armed robbers lured a travel agent into a conversation and then stole 600 euros at gunpoint.

The robbery occurred at Kamal Tours and Travels in Jalandhar’s Maqsudan area. The shopkeeper reported that two young men arrived at his shop on a black Splendor motorcycle. One of the men entered and claimed his sister was traveling abroad and needed 600 euros.

The robber cleverly engaged the shopkeeper in conversation, claiming he would transfer the money through a QR code scanner. He pretended to need a drink of water to distract the shopkeeper. Believing him, the shopkeeper placed the 600 euros on the table.

The young man pulled out a pistol.

As soon as the shopkeeper checked his transaction, he discovered that the money had not been transferred. When the shopkeeper tried to object, the young man immediately pulled out his pistol. The shopkeeper, himself a retired army man, mustered courage and tried to reason with the robber, but he took the money and fled towards his bike parked outside.

The shopkeeper raised an alarm and chased the robbers, but they managed to escape. The entire incident was captured on the CCTV camera installed in the shop, clearly showing the faces of the accused. The victim stated that the accused were maskless and had come with a well-planned strategy. A police complaint has been filed. The police are currently investigating the matter.
