Senior BJP Leader Gurpreet Singh Bhatti Quits Party, Steps Down from All Responsibilities

Ludhiana/Khanna: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Gurpreet Singh Bhatti has resigned from the party’s primary membership and all organizational responsibilities with immediate effect. Bhatti, who had contested the Punjab Assembly elections from the Khanna constituency on a BJP ticket, submitted his resignation to the party leadership.

Resignation Letter Sent to State Leadership

In his resignation letter addressed to Punjab BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon, Bhatti stated that considering the current situation and keeping the interests of Punjab and the Sikh community foremost, he no longer finds it possible to continue his political journey with the BJP.

He informed the party leadership that he was stepping down from both the primary membership of the party and all posts and responsibilities assigned to him.

Cites Punjab and Sikh Community Concerns

Explaining his decision, Bhatti said that recent circumstances had compelled him to reassess his political role. He noted that his decision was guided by what he described as the interests of Punjab and the Sikh community.

However, he did not elaborate on any specific issue or event that prompted his resignation.

Despite quitting the party, Bhatti expressed gratitude to the BJP leadership, office-bearers, workers and supporters for their cooperation and support during his tenure.
