The Department of Town and Country Planning (DTP) carried out an anti-encroachment drive outside the Gurugram residence of Bollywood actor Chandrachur Singh, removing an alleged illegal occupation from the area adjoining his bungalow. The operation was conducted using heavy machinery, including bulldozers, as part of the administration’s ongoing campaign against unauthorized constructions and encroachments in the city.

Officials said the action was taken after verification of the site and was aimed at reclaiming public land allegedly occupied through temporary structures and other unauthorized installations. The demolition was completed in the presence of senior DTP officials and police personnel to ensure law and order during the operation.

Actor Assures Cooperation

During the demolition drive, Chandrachur Singh interacted with the officials and maintained a cooperative approach. According to officials present at the site, the actor remarked that “nothing will break,” indicating that the action would not affect his residential property.

After the operation concluded, Singh was also seen exchanging a handshake with the officers, reflecting an amicable conclusion to the proceedings. The interaction drew attention as videos and photographs of the demolition and the actor’s conversation with officials circulated on social media.

Encroachment Removed from Outside Property

Authorities clarified that the demolition was limited to the alleged encroachment outside the bungalow and did not involve the main residential structure. Officials stated that the objective was to remove unauthorized occupation from government or public land and restore the original right of way.
