Acid Attack in Gurugram’s Civil Hospital Leaves Woman Critically Injured; Suspect on the Run

Gurugram: A shocking acid attack occurred inside the District Civil Hospital late Sunday night, leaving a woman from West Bengal critically injured. The attack reportedly involved a 24-year-old woman and her former boyfriend.

The 24-year-old woman had visited Subhash Nagar to meet her aunt when an argument with her alleged ex-boyfriend escalated into a physical assault.

Her family took her to the civil hospital around 8:30 PM, where the accused allegedly threw acid at her and another woman sitting nearby. The first victim survived with minor injuries, while the second woman suffered severe burns and remains in critical condition.

Emergency Response at Hospital

Doctors on duty immediately rushed both women to the emergency ward. Due to the severity of burns, the critically injured woman from West Bengal was referred for advanced treatment. The incident caused panic among hospital staff and patients.

Police Investigation Underway

Police from Sector 10 Police Station arrived at the hospital and initiated an investigation.
