Gurugram: The court has taken a tough stand in the case of a private school in Badshahpur, Gurugram, running classes on the basis of a fake accreditation. Additional District and Sessions Judge Saurabh Gupta rejected the anticipatory bail plea of Principal Ridima Sharma.
Classes were running without recognition
Classes in grades 9 and 10 were being run without valid recognition at this Sector 9 school, even though the school was only permitted to teach up to grade 8. School Chairman Vinay Kataria has already been arrested in this case.
Interrogation Necessary, Allegations Serious
The court stated that the allegations are serious and that custodial interrogation of the principal is necessary to uncover the full truth of the matter.
Playing with students’ futures
According to the complainant, the school claimed to be CBSE-recognized and collected fees, but did not issue admit cards to students before the board exams, jeopardizing their futures.
