Dharamshala, HP: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar on Thursday interacted with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in Himachal Pradesh during his visit to Dharamshala, as part of efforts to review electoral preparedness and strengthen grassroots-level election management.

During the interaction, the CEC discussed key aspects of voter registration, electoral roll accuracy, and field-level challenges faced by BLOs. Officials briefed him on ongoing processes related to maintaining updated and error-free voter lists in the state.

The Chief Election Commissioner emphasized the importance of BLOs in ensuring transparent and efficient electoral processes. He appreciated their role in maintaining the integrity of voter databases and ensuring smooth implementation of election-related activities at the booth level.

As part of his visit, Gyanesh Kumar toured several prominent sites in Dharamshala, including St. John in the Wilderness Church, the Tsuglagkhang Complex housing the Dalai Lama Temple and Namgyal Monastery, as well as the Tibetan Craft Centre and Tibetan Market in McLeodganj.

The visit highlighted the cultural and spiritual significance of the region, which is known for its diverse heritage and strong tourism appeal.
