Jalandhar: A well-known soya treat shop in Johal Market has come under controversy after a customer alleged finding a hair inside soya paneer purchased from the outlet. The incident triggered a heated argument and chaos in the market area.

The customer, identified as Vani, claimed that instead of acknowledging the issue, the shop staff misbehaved when he raised the complaint. He has now urged authorities to investigate food safety standards at the shop.

Shocking Discovery at Home
According to Vani, he bought soya paneer from the shop and took it home. Upon opening the package, he was shocked to find a strand of hair stuck between the pieces of paneer.

Concerned over the apparent lack of hygiene, he immediately returned to the shop to report the issue and seek an explanation.

Allegations of Misconduct by Staff
The customer alleged that instead of apologising or resolving the matter, the shop employees entered into an argument with him.

What began as a complaint soon escalated into a heated confrontation. Vani claimed that staff used abusive language and behaved rudely. The situation drew the attention of nearby shoppers, leading to a commotion in the market for some time.
