Harbhajan Singh raises alarm over critical flood situation in Punjab, Urges public support

Jalandhar: Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP and former cricketer Harbhajan Singh has expressed serious concern over the floods in Punjab. He said that the situation in Punjab is very critical. People and the government are working together for relief work, but it will take time. He gave this statement in Mumbai.

Former cricketer Harbhajan Singh said- the real picture will emerge when the water recedes. Only then will it be clear how much loss the farmers and common people have suffered. He said that thousands of hectares of farmers’ land has been submerged, on which the crops have been completely destroyed. Apart from this, the houses of many people have also been washed away in the flood water.

Harbhajan said- it will not be easy to remove huge amount of sand

Identifying the biggest challenge, he said that it would not be easy to remove the huge amount of sand that has come into the fields with the water. If this sand is not cleaned in time, it will be difficult for the farmers to sow the next crop.

Harbhajan Singh appealed to the society and capable people to come forward and help the flood victims. He said that the government and the local administration are trying their best. But in such times, the cooperation of the society is extremely important.

Harbhajan also said that not only Punjab, but people of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Bihar are also facing the brunt of floods. He wished that all the affected people recover from this disaster soon and return to normal life.
