Harikesh Meena’s bail extended till September 26 in Chief Engineer Vimal Negi death case

Himachal Pradesh High Court has extended the bail of accused Harikesh Meena till September 26 for not filing the latest status report by CBI in the Chief Engineer Vimal Negi death case. CBI had sought permission to amend Para No. 10 of the status report presented in the court on August 11 in which allegations were made that SP Sanjeev Gandhi had sent Pankaj Sharma to Bilaspur in the Vimal Negi death case.

Whereas in reality, Pankaj Sharma was included in the constituted investigation team at the behest of the former DGP, which was accepted by the court of Judge Virendra Singh.

CBI sought additional time from the court to file the latest status report, which was accepted. The court has asked the CBI to provide copies of the status report to all the parties in this case.

On the other hand, Advocate General Anoop Ratan requested the court to make the government a party again in this case. On the request of the Advocate General, the court has again made the state government a party in this case.

Let us tell you that after the court’s orders, the investigation of the case was handed over to the CBI. After this, the state government was removed from this case.
