October 22, 2025

Mumbai: Romantic thriller Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, starring Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa, hit theatres on October 21, 2025, coinciding with Diwali and the release of Thamma. The film continues its theatrical run but is already generating buzz over its upcoming OTT release.

Expected OTT Platform and Release Window

According to industry reports, the film is expected to stream on Netflix after completing its theatrical run. Like most recent releases, it is likely to arrive within 45–60 days of its cinema debut. However, the makers have not yet issued an official announcement regarding the digital premiere date.

About the Film

Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat revolves around Vikramaditya Bhonsle (Harshvardhan Rane), a charismatic politician whose passionate love for Adaa Randhawa (Sonam Bajwa) spirals into dark obsession.

The supporting cast features Shaad Randhawa, Sachin Khedekar, Ananth Narayan Mahadevan, and Rajesh Khera, among others.

The movie, directed by Rajat Mukherjee, has received mixed reviews, with critics praising the lead performances and cinematography while pointing out the film’s uneven pacing and melodramatic turns.

CBFC Modifications

Before release, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) suggested several changes, including:

• Trimming a 2-minute, 12-second sequence

• Removing a 1-second shot of Mantralaya

• Deleting the dialogue “sleep with her”

• Replacing the word “Raavan” with “villain” in two instances

• Removing all Ramayana references

• Substituting the slang term “maal” with “ladki”

Behind-the-Scenes Scare

Earlier this year, production briefly halted after a freak fire incident on set involving Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa, though both escaped unhurt.
