Harsimrat Kaur Badal Pays Obeisance at Golden Temple in Amritsar

Amritsar: Shiromani Akali Dal MP from Bathinda, Harsimrat Kaur Badal, arrived in Amritsar today, where she paid obeisance at the Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib and prayed for the welfare of all. She also attended the Bhog ceremony of the Akhand Path at Gurdwara Gurbaksh Singh, adjacent to Sri Akal Takht Sahib.

During a media interaction, Harsimrat Kaur Badal leveled serious allegations against the current Punjab government of pursuing a policy of political vendetta. She stated that truth always prevails, and lies have no foothold. The government has tried to suppress political opponents by filing false cases against them.

Citing an example, Harsimrat explained that the drug case against Bikram Singh Majithia was merely political vendetta. She said that the government initially kept mentioning drug abuse, but when the original paperwork was presented, it made no mention of it. She expressed confidence that truth always prevails and that with the grace of Waheguru, Bikram Singh Majithia will soon be exonerated.

Told the public the final decision

Referring to the Tarn Taran elections, he alleged that the government misused police force to intimidate people, but the Election Commission’s order proved that pressure doesn’t work in a democracy. He said that officials who are engaging in wrongdoing to appease those in power should realize that the public is the final decision-maker.

Government advised to cooperate with SGPC

Speaking on religious issues, Harsimrat described the Chief Minister’s remarks on the Golak as extremely unfortunate. She said that instead of interfering in religious matters, the government should work with the SGPC to celebrate sacred events like the centenary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib. She said that the sacrifices of the Gurus are the foundation of humanity and religious freedom, a respect for which the Sikh community should work together to spread throughout the world.
