SAD MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal pays obeisance at Darbar Sahib, expresses deep concern over floods

Shiromani Akali Dal Member of Parliament Harsimrat Kaur Badal today paid obeisance at Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar.  She prayed for the welfare of all. During this, Harsimrat Kaur Badal has attended the Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib and the commencement of the new path under the series of Sri Akhand Paths issued by the Badal family.

On this occasion, MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal expressed deep concern over the flood situation in Punjab. She said that the state government has not fulfilled its due responsibility in this difficult time. If the Punjab government cannot do anything else, then at least issue a helpline number. During this, Harsimrat Kaur Badal also made mention of the tenure of former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.

Assuring help from the party and SGPC, she said, “The Shiromani Akali Dal and the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee stands with the people of Punjab in times like these and we will go out of our way to help them”

She appealed to Home Minister Amit Shah to send more NDRF teams and boats to expedite the rescue operation. She also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should visit Punjab as the farmer, who feeds the country, is facing immense difficulties today.
