The mother of Harvinder Kalyan, the Speaker of the Haryana Legislative Assembly, passed away after her health deteriorated in Karnal district of Haryana. Family members said she breathed her last following a brief illness, bringing a wave of grief to the political and social circles associated with the Speaker.

Funeral to be held in Karnal village

The last rites of the Speaker’s mother are scheduled to take place in Kutail village of Karnal district on Saturday afternoon. The funeral is expected to be performed at around 2:30 pm, where relatives, villagers and political leaders are likely to gather to pay their final respects.
