Haryana CM Releases ₹217.36 Crore to 5,794 Beneficiaries Under the DAYALU Scheme

Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday directly transferred ₹217.36 crore to the bank accounts of 5,794 beneficiaries under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Antyodaya Parivar Suraksha Yojana-I (DAYALU). With this, a total of ₹1,881.355 crore has been disbursed to 49,998 beneficiaries under the scheme so far.

Improving Transparency through Digital Integration

The Chief Minister said that several important improvements have been made to enhance transparency in the scheme and ensure that assistance reaches the actual beneficiaries. Beneficiary death certificates have now been directly linked to the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP), making it easier to verify death and disability certificates.

He stated that this digital integration will prevent misuse of the scheme and ensure that only eligible families receive assistance.

‘Jan Sahayak – Help Me’ Mobile App Launched

For public convenience, the state government has also launched the ‘Jan Sahayak – Help Me’ mobile app. Through this app, financial assistance is disbursed timely through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to Aadhaar-linked bank accounts.

Beneficiaries can also track their application and scheme status on this app, making the process more simple and transparent.

Eligibility and Assistance Amount Details

The DAYALU scheme is for families registered on the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) with an annual income of up to ₹1.80 lakh. Eligible families are required to apply on the portal within 90 days of an accident.

Under this scheme, financial assistance ranging from ₹1 lakh to ₹5 lakh is provided in case of accidental death or permanent disability, so that families can get financial support in times of crisis.

On this occasion, Urban Local Bodies Minister Vipul Goyal, Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Arun Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of Haryana Family Security Trust Jinder Singh Chhillar and many other senior officials were present.
