Haryana Cold Wave: Hisar Hits 2.5°C, Dense Fog Disrupts Visibility in 10 Districts

Sirsa: Cold weather is intensifying in Haryana. On Sunday morning, Hisar recorded a minimum temperature of 2.5 degrees Celsius, the lowest in the entire state this winter. This is 3.3 degrees below average. Jind and Gurgaon recorded a temperature of 3.5 degrees Celsius.

Fog and cold wave warning in 10 districts

The Meteorological Department has warned of dense fog in the morning. This has affected visibility and slowed down vehicles. The department has issued a cold wave warning for 10 districts.

Minimum temperatures in various cities across the state

According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in Panipat was recorded at 4.3°C, in Mahendragarh 4.5°C, in Narnaul 5°C, in Bhiwani 6°C, in Sirsa 6.5°C, in Rotak 5.8°C, in Faridabad 6.8°C, in Gurugram 3.5°C, in Kaithal 5.9°C, in Ambala 8.5°C and in Sonipat 4.9°C.

Dense to very dense fog is likely in the districts

Dense to very dense fog is likely in Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal, Sonipat, Panipat, Jind, Rotak, Jhajjar, Gurgaon and Faridabad. An orange alert has been issued for these districts.

There is also a possibility of fog in Panchkula, Mahendragarh, Rewari, Mewat, Palwal, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Bhiwani and Charkhi Dadri, for which a yellow alert has been issued.

Effect of cold winds

According to the Meteorological Department, cold winds will also blow in Mahendragarh, Rewari, Jhajjar, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Hisar, Jind, Bhiwani and Charkhi Dadri. As a result, these districts will have a double effect of cold.

Palwal hottest, Gurugram coldest

According to the Meteorological Department, Palwal recorded the highest temperature of 23.5 degrees Celsius for the third consecutive day. On the other hand, Gurgaon remained the coldest, with the minimum temperature at 4.9 degrees Celsius.
