Dense Fog Disrupts Life Across Haryana, Cold Wave to Continue Till December 31

Panchkula: Dense fog enveloped several districts in Haryana, including Karnal, Panipat, and Sonipat, along the GT Road belt, on Saturday morning. Visibility in rural areas ranged from 10 to 50 meters.

Two road accidents occurred in foggy conditions in Jind. A roadways bus, a school bus, and a truck collided near Kandela village. Passengers on the bus suffered minor injuries. The second accident occurred at the Khatkar toll plaza on the Delhi-Patiala highway. Two cars collided with a divider. The occupants of both cars narrowly escaped.

Gurugram Coldest in Haryana at 4.9°C

Gurugram was the coldest place in the state, recording a minimum temperature of 4.9 degrees Celsius. Hisar, Jind, Narnaul, and Panipat recorded 5.2 degrees Celsius, followed by Narnaul, 5.5 degrees Celsius, and Panipat, respectively.

Fog in GT Road districts

In Haryana, the GT Road districts of Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Ambala and Panchkula are covered with dense fog since morning. Whereas there is relief from fog in the areas adjoining Rajasthan. Talking about Hisar belt, there is light fog in Hisar. However, the effect of fog is more in the rural areas. The weather is clear in Fatehabad city, but fog is visible in the outer areas.

The cold wave will continue until December 31st

According to the Meteorological Department, a cold wave will prevail in the state along with fog. Due to this, people will feel the effects of the cold even during the day. However, due to the cold wave, the fog will clear quickly during the day.

The weather in Haryana is expected to remain generally variable until December 31st. During this period, the cold is expected to intensify between December 28th and 30th. However, after December 31st, cold north and northwest winds may cause another drop, especially in night temperatures.
