Drizzle Likely in 9 Haryana Districts Today; Western Disturbance Triggers Temperature Drop

According to the Meteorological Department, the effect of the fresh western disturbance becoming active in the western Himalayan region from May 2 will also be seen in Haryana. Due to this, there is a possibility of rain, thunder and lightning, and strong winds in several districts of the state between May 2 and May 7.

According to weather scientists, the state’s average maximum temperature on Friday recorded a drop of 2.3 degrees Celsius compared to Thursday, keeping the temperature 2.8 degrees below normal. However, the state’s maximum temperature was recorded at 39 degrees Celsius in Mahendragarh.

There will be light rain from 2 to 7.

According to the Meteorological Department, there may be light rain at some places in the state on May 2, 3, 6, and 7. Meanwhile, on May 4 and 5, light to moderate rain is expected in several areas of the state. During this period, the maximum temperature in the state may rise by about 2 degrees Celsius in the next 48 hours, but afterwards, a drop of 3 to 4 degrees in temperature may be recorded.

Strong winds will blow in four districts today

On May 2, a warning has been issued for strong winds blowing at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour along with thunder and lightning in Panchkula, Yamunanagar, Mewat, and Palwal districts. Meanwhile, between May 3 and May 6, strong winds at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour may blow in various parts of the state.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain on May 2 in several districts including Mahendragarh, Rewari, Jhajjar, Gurugram, Faridabad, Rohtak, Hisar, Bhiwani, and Charkhi Dadri. The Meteorological Department has advised farmers and the general public to remain alert in view of the changing weather.

The Meteorological Department says that this change is likely to provide relief from the heat. Meanwhile, in the coming days, caution will need to be exercised due to storms and rain.
