Haryana’s Engineer-in-Chief Kadian suspended, accused of financial irregularities

Chandigarh: The Haryana government has suspended Satbir Singh Kadian, Engineer-in-Chief (YWS North) of the Irrigation and Water Resources Department, with immediate effect. An official order has been issued by the department in this regard.

Action on financial irregularities

According to sources, Kadian has been accused of financial irregularities, which has led to this drastic step. The order is signed by Additional Chief Secretary (Irrigation and Water Resources) Anurag Aggarwal, IAS, and is effective from April 15, 2026.

Attached to Panchkula Head Office

During the suspension period, Kadian will be paid a Subsistence Allowance under the Haryana Civil Services (General) Rules, 2016. His headquarters has been designated as the Panchkula Head Office.
