Haryana hailstorm with rain, weather worsens in 7 districts

The weather changed in Haryana on Friday afternoon. Heavy rainfall occurred in Hisar, Sirsa, Kaithal, Bhiwani, Panipat, and Sonipat. Hail also fell along with rain in Hansi.

In Israna, Panipat, wheat kept in the open in the grain market got wet. Clouds have covered most districts, and there were storms in several places.

The Meteorological Center, Chandigarh, has issued a yellow alert for rain and storms in Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Jind, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Rohtak, Sonipat, Jhajjar, and Mahendragarh.

Speaking of the heat, on Thursday, the temperature crossed 40 degrees Celsius in 10 cities of Haryana. The highest temperature was recorded in Narnaul at 42 degrees Celsius.

Day temperature increased by 3.6 degrees

Scorching heat has started in the state. On Thursday, the daytime temperature rose by 3.6 degrees Celsius. In Narnaul, it reached a maximum of 42 degrees Celsius. This is 4.6 degrees higher than normal. Meanwhile, the nighttime temperature also increased by 2.5 degrees. In Yamunanagar, the minimum was 17.3 degrees, and in Charkhi Dadri, the maximum was 24 degrees.

Night temperature is also continuously rising

An increase has also been recorded in the minimum temperature in the state. With an average rise of 0.7°C, nights have started becoming warmer in several districts. In Narnaul and Charkhi Dadri, the night temperature reached 24°C, which is above normal. Similarly, an increase in minimum temperature has also been observed in Mahendragarh, Hisar, and Rohtak.

However, there is relief in some areas. In Chandigarh, the minimum temperature was recorded below normal, bringing a slight chill. The Meteorological Department says that in the coming days, due to clouds and strong winds, fluctuations in night temperature may also be observed.
