Heat Intensifies in Haryana as Hisar Records 35.5°C, Temperatures Rise Across State

Chandigarh: The heatwave is intensifying across Haryana as maximum temperatures in several parts of the state have crossed 35°C.

According to the Meteorological Department, three cities recorded temperatures of 35°C or higher, with Hisar emerging as the hottest location at 35.5°C.

Other cities recording high temperatures include:

Bhiwani – 35.0°C

Mahendragarh – 35.0°C

Meteorologists said temperatures are likely to gradually increase further over the next few days.

Sudden Dense Fog in Sonipat Disrupts Visibility

Meanwhile, weather conditions changed suddenly in Sonipat on Saturday morning when dense fog covered the city.

Visibility reportedly dropped to near zero, causing difficulties for drivers and commuters during early hours.

Daytime Temperatures Significantly Above Normal

According to the Meteorological Department, the average maximum temperature in the state increased by around 0.6°C compared to the previous day and is currently about 7°C above normal.

Other cities also recorded high daytime temperatures:

Karnal

Rohtak

Gurugram

Ambala

These cities reported maximum temperatures ranging between 31°C and 34°C.

Due to strong sunshine and dry winds, residents experienced intense heat during the afternoon hours. Weather experts say such temperatures are unusually high for the early days of March.

Night Temperatures Also Above Normal

Nighttime temperatures also remained higher than usual across the state.

The Meteorological Department said the average minimum temperature fell slightly by about 0.3°C, but it still remained around 4.9°C above normal.

The lowest minimum temperature of 13.7°C was recorded in Sonipat.

However, several cities reported warmer nights with minimum temperatures above 17°C, including:

Ambala

Narnaul

Palwal

Hathinikund

Because of the higher nighttime temperatures, residents experienced mild warmth during early morning and late night hours.
