The heat has gained momentum in Haryana. On Tuesday, the daytime temperature reached close to 40 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature in the state was recorded at 39.4°C in Faridabad. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature has increased by an average of 2 degrees.

In 7 cities of the state, the temperature rose above 38 degrees, including Hisar (38.8°C), Bhiwani (39.0°C), Gurugram (39.0°C), Faridabad (39.4°C), Sirsa (38.9°C), Sonipat (38.5°C), and Rohtak (38.5°C). It is clear that the heat has started showing its intensity now.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain normal until April 16, but on April 17 and 18, there is a possibility of storms (30-40 km/h), thunder and lightning, and light rain in some districts. Its impact may be more in western and southern Haryana.

Nights are getting hot along with days

In the state, along with the day, the night temperature has also started rising. The minimum temperature recorded was 21.5°C in Narnaul, 21.0°C in Bhiwani, and 21.5°C in Bhiwani. However, the lowest temperature in Karnal was 15.6°C. On average, the minimum temperature has increased by about 0.9 degrees.

HAU, Hisar has advised farmers to harvest wheat in the morning and evening. Keep the crops safe considering strong winds and chances of rain. Protect animals from sunlight and ensure adequate water supply. Continue irrigation of vegetable and fruit crops as required.

According to the forecast issued by Dr. Madan Kheechad, Head of the Department of Agrometeorology, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (HAU), Hisar, the weather will remain changeable until April 20. On April 15 and 16, the weather will be completely clear and dry, which may lead to a further increase in temperature.

On April 17 and 18, a weak western disturbance will be active. At the same time, due to the formation of a cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan, the weather pattern will change. Due to this change, there is a possibility of partial cloudiness in the state, light to moderate winds, and isolated rain with thunder in some places.
