Karnal, Haryana: A sensational case of rape of a married woman has come to light in the Gharaunda area of Karnal. The woman alleged that her husband, along with two unknown men, abducted her from the street. She was then drugged and raped. The woman regained consciousness the next day in a vacant house and filed a complaint in Rajasthan.

The complaint reached Gharaunda and the police registered a case on the basis of zero FIR and started investigation.

Case Transferred from Rajasthan to Karnal

The case began on June 13th at the Nauganwa police station in Rajasthan’s Alwar district, where the victim filed a complaint. The police contacted the police because the location of the incident was unclear in the complaint. The victim stated she was unwell and would come to the police station on June 19th. On June 19th, she arrived with her brother and described the entire incident.

Investigation revealed that the incident took place in Gharaunda area of Karnal, on which a zero FIR was registered and the case was sent to Karnal.

Picked Up on the Way to the Bank

The victim stated that she was married on April 8, 2022, in Panipat, according to Hindu customs. She stated that on June 10, at around 12:20 p.m., she was on her way to open an account at a bank in Gharaunda. Her husband, accompanied by two unknown men, forcibly took her away.

Woman Alleges She Was Drugged and Handed Over

The woman alleged that the three men forcibly drugged her. Afterward, her husband told the two strangers, “She’s in your care now, and you can do whatever you want with her.” It’s alleged that the husband took money from them and left.

Regained Consciousness in an Empty House

According to the victim, the two strangers forced themselves on her. They then took turns raping her. She fell unconscious due to the effects of the drugs. The woman said that when she regained consciousness the next morning, she was alone in an empty house. She noticed that she was naked. She composed herself, put on her clothes, and managed to reach ITI Chowk, Karnal.

Called Her Brother and Reported the Incident

After reaching ITI Chowk, the woman called her brother and told him the entire incident. They then spoke to her husband and reprimanded him. It is alleged that the husband abused her and told her to do whatever she wanted. He also threatened to kill her.

Police Register Case, Investigation Underway

Taking the matter seriously, the Nauganwa police station registered a zero FIR and forwarded it to the Karnal police. On June 19th, the victim identified the scene with the police. The investigation revealed that the incident occurred in the Gharaunda area. Following this, a case was registered and handed over to the investigating officer. The case was registered at the Gharaunda police station on June 19th.

Search for the Accused Continues

Gharaunda police station in-charge Deepak Kumar said that based on the woman’s complaint, a case has been registered against three people, including her husband. The victim’s statement has also been recorded before a magistrate. Every aspect of the case is being investigated so that the accused can be arrested soon.
