Haryana: Husband kills Wife in Rohtak’s Dobh village following domestic dispute

On Monday night, in Dobh village located on Bhiwani Road in Rohtak, a young man murdered his wife, Joshna, by striking her on the head with a stick following a domestic dispute. The woman died on the spot. The police from the Bahu Akbarpur police station are investigating the incident.

According to the police, they received information on Tuesday morning that the body of a woman was lying inside a room situated opposite the Peer Baba Temple, along Bhiwani Road in Dobh village.

There were visible injury marks on her head. The police, accompanied by FSL expert Dr. Saroj Dahiya, arrived at the scene, took custody of the body, and conducted preliminary inquiries. It was revealed that Azad, a resident of Kasganj in Uttar Pradesh, had married Joshna, a native of Assam. The couple had two children—one aged five and the other three years old.

Residing in Rohtak, Azad worked as a scrap dealer. That night, an altercation broke out between the husband and wife over a domestic matter. It is alleged that Azad struck his wife on the head with a stick, resulting in her death.

Upon receiving news of the incident, police personnel from the Bahu Akbarpur station reached the scene, took custody of the body, and transported it to the mortuary at the PGI (Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences). Further legal action will be initiated based on the statements provided by the deceased woman’s family members.
