Jyoti Malhotra’s default bail plea rejected, next hearing on Sept 10

Civil Judge Sunil Kumar’s court has rejected the default bail of Jyoti Malhotra, arrested on suspicion of espionage, on the basis of an incomplete investigation. The court has also given its verdict on all three applications filed regarding Jyoti’s chargesheet. The court has not banned media briefings. Now Jyoti Malhotra will appear in court on September 10 and a revised chargesheet will be given.

On Wednesday, the hearing of the Jyoti Malhotra case began in the Civil Judge’s court. The Civil Judge gave his verdict on all three applications filed. The court said that the part of the data received from the Panchkula lab, the part of the sealed chat, should not be given in Jyoti’s chargesheet. It should not be published anywhere. The court ordered both the parties in Jyoti Malhotra’s chargesheet that its copy should not be given to anyone. Nor should it be published in any way. On this, Kumar Mukesh said that the court’s decision is respected, but I am not satisfied with it.

During the hearing in the Jyoti Malhotra case, during the debate on August 29, the government lawyer said that our investigation is not complete yet. In such a situation, providing sensitive information can affect the investigation.

Therefore, intelligence information should not be given to the accused. Kumar Mukesh had filed a petition for default bail for Jyoti Malhotra based on this point of the public prosecutor. The police presented their side in the court on September 1. The court had reserved the decision after hearing both the sides. The court has rejected Jyoti Malhotra’s default bail.
