New women’s police station to open in Meham, Rohtak; Women’s safety to be strengthened

There’s good news for the residents of Meham town and the surrounding villages in Rohtak district. A new women’s police station will be opened in Meham. This decision comes as part of the Haryana government’s announcement to establish seven new women’s police stations in the state.

The opening of the women’s police station is expected to reduce crimes against women. This will ensure timely redressal of women’s complaints and speedy justice for offenders. Women will be able to file their complaints with women police officers without hesitation, enhancing both their safety and self-confidence.

Haryana Government Announces in Budget Session

The Haryana government announced the opening of seven new women’s police stations on the first day of the budget session. Governor Professor Asim Kumar Ghosh made this announcement while presenting the state government’s roadmap. In addition to Meham, new women’s police stations will also be established in Narwana, Loharu, Samalkha, Barwala, Radaur, and Pehwa.

Residents are also demanding a city police station.

However, the residents of Meham have long demanded the construction of a city police station. Currently, the city operates solely from a police outpost, as there is no dedicated city police station.
