Panipat: Man murdered by slitting throat; body found field; police probe on

In Biholi village, located within the jurisdiction of the Bapoli police station in Panipat, Ranjit (35) a laborer working in the fields was murdered by having his throat slit. The laborer’s body was discovered lying in the field of a former Sarpanch on Monday morning.

Upon receiving information about the murder, the local police took custody of the body and initiated an investigation. A forensic team also arrived at the crime scene to examine the case. The deceased’s family members have been informed of the incident.

Originally a native of Bihar, Ranjit Singh worked in the fields belonging to Jile Singh, the former Sarpanch of Biholi village. He resided in a room constructed within the fields themselves. On Monday morning, when villagers arrived at the fields, they found Ranjit’s body lying there. Ranjit had been murdered by having his throat cut with a sharp-edged weapon. Upon receiving the report of the murder, the Bapoli police immediately rushed to the crime scene and commenced their investigation.

Shortly thereafter, a forensic team also arrived at the spot and conducted a thorough examination. It is reported that Ranjit Singh lived alone. The police are currently investigating the case from multiple angles, including personal enmity as well as the possibility of robbery.

Ranjit’s family members have been notified of the incident. Banshi Lal, the In-charge of the Bapoli police station, stated that the deceased worked in the former Sarpanch’s fields and that the matter is currently under investigation.
