Youths in a car pelted stones at a Kilometer Scheme bus traveling from Jind to Chandigarh. Several windows of the bus were broken, and some passengers sustained minor injuries. The car occupants chased the roadways bus for a considerable distance, abusing the driver and conductor.
When the roadways bus stopped, the youths fled. At the time of the incident, the bus was carrying over 50 passengers. The passengers were subsequently transferred to another bus, and the bus was taken to the Civil Lines police station. Police are investigating the matter.
The bus was traveling from Jind to Chandigarh
On Wednesday morning at 9:30 a.m., the Kilometer Scheme bus departed from the Jind bus stand for Chandigarh. As soon as it left the bus stand, the youths in the car began chasing and abusing the bus. As the bus began to climb the flyover, the youths in the car attempted to drive under the flyover and pelted the bus with stones.
The car did not have a number plate.
This damaged several windows of the bus. As soon as the bus was stopped, the car occupants fled. The vehicle had no number plate. The passengers were put on another bus and sent to Chandigarh. The bus was then taken to the Civil Lines police station.
