Congress MP from Rohtak, Deepender Singh Hooda, has come forward to help families and farmers affected by floods in Haryana. He posted on his social media account that he had deposited his one-month salary in the flood relief fund, responding to the call of former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. Hooda stated that farmers, laborers, and the general public of Haryana should receive immediate relief in this difficult time.
Deepender urged the state government to immediately announce a special relief package for the flood-affected districts. He demanded compensation of ₹70,000 per acre for farmers to compensate for crop losses. He also appealed for a survey of the damage to homes and shops and appropriate compensation for those affected.
Demand for War-level Drainage
The MP said that many villages and towns are still flooded, increasing the risk of disease. The government should ensure war-level drainage and strengthen health facilities in the affected areas.
Ready to provide all possible assistance to flood victims
Deepender Hooda stated that the Congress Party and its workers are engaged in helping flood victims at every level, but it is the government’s responsibility to expedite relief and rehabilitation efforts. He assured that Congress will always speak out for farmers and the common people.
