Employee Dies by Suicide at Haryana Secretariat in Chandigarh; Jumps from 8th Floor

An employee committed suicide by jumping from the 8th floor of the Haryana Civil Secretariat in Chandigarh. As soon as the incident was reported, police personnel and other staff posted at the Secretariat reached the spot. An ambulance was also called.

A team of doctors examined the person at the scene, but by then he had already died. After this, the body was sent to the hospital.

Initial police investigation revealed that the employee’s name was Balwant and he had entered the Secretariat by getting a visitor pass.
