    Encounter between Sonipat STF and criminals: Masterminds Kapil, Deepak injured; accomplice Sahil arrested

    The Sonipat Special Task Force (STF) and the CIA Gohana police arrested two suspects in the industrialist kidnapping case after an encounter early Saturday morning. In retaliatory police action, both suspects were shot in the legs and were subsequently arrested and admitted to BPS Government Women’s Medical College, Khanpur. The arrested suspects are Kapil and Deepak, residents of Nizampur village.

    According to police, Kapil plotted to kidnap Gohana industrialist Neetu Dangi. The incident occurred on September 16th while he was on his way to his factory on Jind Road. The suspects, who arrived in two vehicles, abducted him and held him hostage in a room in the fields. A ransom of ₹2 crore was demanded. The deal was later settled for ₹50 lakh. The suspects then took ₹1 lakh from the industrialist’s car and fled.

    Criminals clash at a police checkpoint
    Early Saturday morning, a police team was setting up a checkpoint near Sikandarpur Majra village on Kharkhoda Road when the two accused arrived in a car. Upon seeing the police, they tried to flee towards Barota village. They later got down and started running. When the police chased them, the accused opened fire. The police retaliated, injuring both criminals and apprehending them on the spot.

    Five accused have already been arrested
    The police have already arrested five accused in the industrialist kidnapping case. The arrest of Kapil and Deepak will significantly help the police in connecting the gang. Officials say that interrogating them is likely to yield important clues about other gang members and their activities. A reward of five thousand rupees was offered for the arrest of Deepak and Kapil, both of whom have prior criminal records.
