Haryana Temperatures Rise Above Normal; Weather to Remain Variable Till Mid-March

Chandigarh: Day and night temperatures are being recorded well above normal in most parts of Haryana. According to the Meteorological Department, Hisar recorded the highest maximum temperature of 37.5 degrees Celsius on Sunday, which is 8.8 degrees Celsius above normal. Yamunanagar recorded a minimum temperature of 18.9 degrees Celsius, which is 7.5 degrees Celsius above normal.

According to weather experts, both day and night temperatures across Haryana remain above normal. Weak western disturbances are expected to become active one after another on March 11th and then on March 14th. Due to their influence, the weather will remain constantly variable during the first half of March, and occasional cloud movement may be observed.

Western disturbances will remain weak

However, these western disturbances are expected to remain weak, so their impact will be limited primarily to the northern mountainous regions. In Haryana, only cloud movement and light drizzle are expected at some locations. Heavy rain is not currently expected, which could lead to only slight fluctuations in temperatures.

Visible effects on crops

Over the past few days, the state has been experiencing a slight increase in temperature, and its effects are already visible on the crops standing in the fields. Crops that were supposed to be 15 to 20 days away from ripening are now experiencing premature ripening. This situation could be a cause for concern for farmers.

Weather experts have advised farmers to regularly monitor their crops in view of the changing weather. Due to rising temperatures, they should continue to irrigate their fields lightly and contact their nearest agricultural officials if necessary. The public has also been advised to protect themselves from the intense afternoon sun.

There may be a change on March 19

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather may see a significant change in the second half of March. A moderate western disturbance is expected to become active around March 19th and thereafter, which could increase rainfall activity in Haryana, NCR, and Delhi, and temperatures are expected to drop.
