The government has started work to develop 10 new industrial areas and one residential area in Haryana. For this, the government has started the process of buying 35,500 acres of land. Applications were sought from farmers to sell land on the portal till August 31. The details of the lands for which the farmers have applied to sell will be prepared by matching them with the maps in the next 15 days.
The government had sought applications to buy 4500 acres of planned residential land in Faridabad. This land will be purchased by Haryana Urban Development Authority (HSVP). Similarly, 31 thousand acres of land will be purchased by Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) for the settlement of industrial areas in the state. HSVP and HSIIDC had jointly opened the e-Bhoomi portal to take applications from farmers to sell land.
HSIIDC Managing Director Dr. Yash Garg says that after the complete details of the applications of farmers to sell their land are prepared, the government will be informed about the entire situation. After this, the government will decide whether to open the portal for land sale again or not.
