Haryana: Uncontrolled trailer hits toll booth divider, causes huge fire

The uncontrolled trolley going towards Sirsa hit the divider near the toll booth. After this, the trolley caught fire. The fire also engulfed the toll booth. The fire could be controlled after about one and a half hours, by then the toll was completely burnt to ashes. Due to the fire, the entire wiring of the toll has been burnt. Vehicles are passing through Landhdi toll plaza for free since Monday evening. The toll manager says that there has been a loss of about six crore rupees.

A trolley reached lane number 6 at around 6:15 pm on Monday evening at Landhdi-Chiknawas toll plaza, out of control. The trolley hit the divider directly. Seeing the fast moving trolley coming, the toll booth employees and other youths standing there ran away from there and went to the other side. The trolley driver then hit the booth, after which the trolley caught fire.

The booth also caught fire due to the fire of the trolley. Toll manager Kamal said that even after the fire broke out, the trolley driver did not get down. The toll employees brought him down. Manager Kamal said that the driver was completely drunk and was also injured. The driver was sent to Agroha Medical College by ambulance.
