Haryana Weather Update: Mixed Conditions Across State; Western Disturbance Likely on Feb 17

Hisar: The weather in Haryana is experiencing mixed weather these days. While the sun’s heat is being felt during the day, despite a slight drop in night temperatures, the mercury remains above normal in many districts. According to the latest bulletin from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the state’s average minimum temperature has decreased by 0.1°C, but despite this, night temperatures remain above 10°C in eight cities of the state.

Despite a slight drop in daytime temperatures across the state, maximum temperatures in four cities reached above 25 degrees Celsius, making the day feel mildly warm. However, cool winds are keeping the heat from increasing. The weather will remain dry in the state until February 16th.

Dr. Chandrashekhar Dagar, Senior Scientist, Agricultural Meteorology Department, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, says that a new western disturbance is likely to become active on February 17, which can change the weather in the plains of North India.

Minimum temperatures in these 8 cities are above 10°C.

According to IMD data, temperatures in Ambala, Hisar, Karnal, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Faridabad, Nuh, and Panipat remained above 10°C. Gurugram, Jind, and Sirsa recorded temperatures between 9 and 10 degrees Celsius. Sirsa recorded the lowest temperature of 9.0°C. This clearly indicates that mild cold is still prevailing in some areas.

Maximum temperature crosses 25°C in 4 cities

In terms of maximum temperatures, the state’s average maximum temperature dropped by 1.4 degrees, but mild heat was still felt at many places during the day. Temperatures above 25 degrees Celsius were recorded in Bhiwani (26.4°C), Faridabad (25.9°C), Nuh (25.7°C) and Sonipat (25.3°C). The highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded in Bhiwani (26.4°C), Faridabad (25.9°C), Nuh (25.7°C) and Sonipat (25.3°C).
