Haryana: Woman dies after doctor performed kidney surgery; arrested

Veena, a woman who was on a ventilator after having her kidney removed at Tulip Hospital on Bahalgarh Road, died on Monday. Police have filed a case against the doctor gaurav Randhawa, who performed the operation, and arrested him.

Anand, a resident of Rajendra Nagar, stated that his wife Veena, had been undergoing treatment at Tulip Hospital on Bahalgarh Road for 20 months. She had a kidney stone in one of her kidneys. When an infection developed, the doctor recommended its removal.

Doctor Removed Second Kidney Without Informing Her

Veena’s operation was performed on May 1, 2024, after her family gave their consent. During the operation, the doctor also removed Veena’s second kidney without informing them. This worsened her condition.

Since then, she has been on a ventilator. Veena died on Monday. Police have taken action and filed a case against the accused doctor, Gaurav Randhawa, and arrested him. When Dr. Anupama Sethi, Director of Tulip Hospital, was talked to about this, she said that the doctor who performed the operation no longer works in her hospital.
