Haryana Woman Allegedly Kills Husband, Cuts Open Abdomen, Puts Intestines in Bag, Jumps From Terrace

Kurukshetra: In a gruesome incident in Haryana’s Kurukshetra, a woman allegedly killed her husband and severely mutilated his body before jumping from the terrace of their rented home after being confronted by their landlord, officials said.

The deceased, identified as Rajesh, lived with his wife, Vimla Devi, in a rented house near Raj Palace on Pehowa Road.

According to their landlord, Rinku, the couple had a heated argument at around 5 p.m. on the day of the incident. Alarmed by the sounds of shouting, Rinku went to check on them and headed towards the terrace.

He allegedly found Rajesh lying in a pool of blood with serious injuries to his abdomen.

Woman allegedly found with bag after attack

According to a report, the landlord saw Vimla allegedly placing Rajesh’s intestines, which had protruded from his body, into a bag.

On noticing the landlord, she reportedly panicked and jumped from the terrace.

Vimla sustained injuries in the fall and was taken to hospital for treatment. Police are awaiting her statement, which is expected to help establish the sequence of events and the motive behind the alleged killing.

    Post-mortem reveals extensive injuries

Rajesh was originally from Dhampur village in Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur district and had been living in Kurukshetra with his wife for nearly a year.

He was employed in the supply department of a water trading company on Pehowa Road.

The post-mortem examination revealed extensive injuries to Rajesh’s body. His abdomen had reportedly been cut open over a length of around 35 centimetres, with several deep wounds believed to have been inflicted with sharp weapons.

His intestines had come out of the abdominal cavity.

Investigators also found that a significant portion of his liver and his right kidney were missing. Police are examining whether the organs were removed during the attack or whether there were other circumstances involved.

    Three knives recovered from scene

Police recovered three knives of different sizes from the scene.

Police teams led by Station House Officer Surinder Singh reached the house after receiving information about the incident, while forensic experts collected evidence from the spot.

The landlord claimed that Vimla was involved in traditional healing and exorcism-related practices and that the couple frequently argued. However, the exact reason behind the alleged killing remains unclear.

The couple had been married for several years and had no children.

Police are investigating their relationship, past disputes and other possible factors that may have led to the incident.
